Manitoba Law and Mental Health

There are laws and policies that lay out the rights of individuals with a mental health disorder in Manitoba. It is beneficial to familiarize yourself with the Manitoba Mental Health Act to get a better understanding of what your son/daughter’s rights are, and how the mental health review board will work with your son/daughter if they have a mental health disorder. In addition, it is also important to review the differences between voluntary and involuntary admission into psychiatric assessments and facilities.
